The Kingsland Community Association is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization.
We are often in need of volunteers to fill a variety of roles (from one-time event volunteers to committee members to board members). Commitment time for volunteering varies, so no matter your availability, we should have an opportunity for you!
Volunteer Opportunities
Community Youth Volunteer Award
The Kingsland Community Association proudly offers an annual Community Youth Volunteer Award to encourage youth volunteerism in our neighborhood. Up to $1000 is reserved each year to be awarded to youth (aged 12 to 25) who volunteer a minimum of 15 hours from July 1 to June 30. Volunteer hours can be earned anywhere in the City of Calgary, however, preference will be given to applicants that complete their hours in Kingsland.
To apply for this award, applicants must:
Complete and submit the Community Youth Volunteer Application Form
Track their volunteer hours for the year using the Community Youth Volunteer Tracking Sheet
Complete and submit a Community Youth Volunteer Submission Form along with their completed Tracking Sheet between July 1 and August 15.
Submissions will be reviewed by our award panel after August 15th and successful applicants will be notified of their award in September.
