Laura Niergarth

Social Director

Laura has lived in Kingsland since 2018, but originally moved to Calgary from Ontario in 2007. She joined the Kingsland Community association as Social Director in January 2025 bringing her passion for community building and event planning. Coming from a background in HR Management, her interest lies in community engagement and creating inclusive, fun, and meaningful events that bring our neighbourhood together.

While not new to volunteering within the community, Laura is excited to take on some new projects as Social Director. She has and continues to volunteer, event planned and fundraised for the JDRF Calgary, Calgary Marathon, Pawsitive Match, AARCS, and Furever Homes.

When not taking her pups out for a walk, Laura enjoys the outdoors golfing, camping, hiking, skiing, or playing in a local rec sports league.

Laura is excited to enhance Kingsland's sense of connection and community spirit. She is looking forward to helping to drive the changes that will make Kingsland a welcoming community for everyone living and working here.
