Brandy MacInnis

Planning & Development Director

Brandy was born and raised in Calgary and has lived in Kingsland since 2008. Inspired early on by her father’s role as President of the Pineridge Community Association, she developed a strong commitment to community involvement.

Professionally, Brandy is a Land Use and Policy Planner and Engagement Strategist. She works in the private sector supporting development projects and helping municipalities shape policies and plans. She also holds a Business Analysis Certificate from Mount Royal University.

Brandy served as Vice-President and Planning Director of the Kingsland Community Association (KCA) for nearly 10 years, beginning in 2008. In 2009, she led the development of the Kingsland Community Plan, a community-led plan that helped guide local input to The City prior to the adoption of the Heritage Communities Local Area Plan. After a break from the Board, she rejoined in 2021 as Planning & Development Director, where she now chairs the Kingsland Planning Committee. She also co-chairs the Kingsland Park Redevelopment Committee.
